Well, last week ended, let's just say, on a sour note. I found myself back in the hospital over the weekend due to low hemoglobin and blood pressure. I was back home just a couple days later, but it taught me a lesson. If you think something is not quite right, listen to your body. I'm glad I did.
Yesterday, I slept. All day. I needed that. Today, I have been able to do things I could not do last week. I will work on more guitar today and songwriting and I hope to do some more recording in the next week or two. I am getting back into my regular routine again and it feels good. Sometimes, taking care of one issue can help many of the others.
Now, to be honest, there was a point this weekend when I felt like just giving up again. I was upset to be in the situation I was in and felt like I could never get better. I do have those moments on occasion. Those moments, thank goodness, never last. Once I started feeling a little better and even started writing some lyrics from the hospital bed, I knew it was all going to be alright. I will keep doing what I love doing, for as long as I can. I aim to live my life to the fullest, filled with music.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
Kristi
